You can stay at LaQuinta on Back Beach Road (3 blocks from beach) for $140 a night plus tax or you can stay in a 756 sq ft condo with a balcony on the beach for about the same amount. You're in a gated community, park at your door and sit in air-conditioning and watch the sun bathers, boats, dolphins and other beach activities. It's your call; what are you waiting for?

Pinnacle Port - if you're not there you don't know what you're missing

July 4th week at Pinnacle Port is where it's at in Panama City Beach. Even though it is crowded, you don't have to walk across the road to get to the beach (if you were any closer, you would be in the water); you don't have to get in your car to enjoy great sandwiches from the Cabana Cafe; you're not lined up in traffic for long periods of time, the scheduled activities are great AND if the weather cooperates, you can watch fireworks from Pier Park and Destin by taking your chairs out to the beach. Last night's fireworks show from the east and west were both spectacular. What more could you ask for? Plan your next July 4th vacation soon so you don't miss out next year.

PPVR has movie (Genomo and Juliette) night scheduled at the big pool and Cabana Cafe will be open - make it dinner and a movie. Good hot dogs and sandwiches - chicken salad or pimento cheese are our favorites. Come enjoy the evening (weather permitting). If you're not staying at Pinnacle Port, you don't know what you're missing.

Only dates left at our condo for the summer prime season are: July 21 & 22, July 30, 31 and August 1. May 22-25 still open then August and fall dates left. Apparently the secret is out about how great Pinnacle Port is for staying directly on the beach with a multi-million dollar community (Carillon Beach) on one side and Camp Helen's State Park on the other. While we were there last week, we ran into some people who had never been there before; they could not believe how beautiful and quiet the property is with lots of amenities and grocery stores, CVS and restaurants just outside the gate. Drive 10 minutes and you're at Pier Park with lots of great eateries, shopping, movie theater and an Amusement park for the kiddies (mini=Miracle Strip). If you haven't been lately, you need to go soon and see what you're missing. Come see what Paradise has to offer. . .

It was expected that this year would be a last-minute-booking season but guests are booking now to assure dates they want are still available. Summer's around the corner

During the Summer season, Pinnacle Port offers band, karaoke and movie nights each week at the large pool. The Cabana Cafe should be open with pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, drinks and ice cream. Stock up on groceries at Publix or Winn Dixie (less than one mile) and not leave the property the entire week unless you want seafood (available at Bayou Bill's next to Winn Dixie) or to visit Pier Park or Pineapply Willy's. Book soon to get the dates you want.

Our Youtube video (filmed in Nov. and Dec.) is already outdated as we replaced chair and otterman with leather recliner and replaced table and chairs with updated design and adds more open space. Inquiries for spring and summer dates are coming in now and calendar will fill in soon.

Several November dates are open - including Thanksgiving week. November is a great time to go to Panama City Beach. It is less crowded (people and traffic) and a great time to explore all the things to do in Panama City Beach. The addition of Pier Park has been great to bring in year-round guests and they continue to have concerts at the park even after the season winds down. Stay at Pinnacle Port inside a gated community where you feel safe at all times and park outside your door - not across the street in a non-secured lot. Once you've stayed at Pinnacle Port, you will love it and will make it your destination whenever you come to the Panama City Beach - Destin area. Come on down - a walk on the beach is awaiting you.

October has the best sunsets at the beach

If you have not been to Panama City Beach in October or November, you don't know what you've missed; the sunsets are most outstanding. The sun is huge as it drops off into the ocean. At times, the crowds are thin and you can actually get into Margarittaville without the 2 hours waits during spring break and summer months. Pier Park still has lots of things to do. Check out pcbdaily.com and follow them on Facebook and you'll always know what's going on.
